Fares for the whole vehicle, up to 4 passengers in the saloon or 8 in the van, luggage included. Basis: a €30 pick-up charge covering the first 10 kilometres, then €2.63/km. The regulated night, Sunday and bank holiday supplements apply in addition.

The Newport Bay Club is an ocean liner of a hotel: one thousand and ninety-three rooms, two wings, and a forecourt that seizes up on changeover days. We know its habits — the wave of departures on Sunday morning, the arrivals in late afternoon when the Roissy flights deliver their passengers — and we set pick-up times around them rather than against them.

The meeting point is the main forecourt, facing the lake. When it is busy the driver rings you from the lower loop instead of joining the queue: fifty metres of walking, against a wait that can run to twenty minutes on the ramp.

Getting the departure time right

For Orly, allow fifty minutes to an hour and ten depending on the load on the A4 and then the A86: an 11am flight means leaving at about 7.45am. For Beauvais the scale of the thing changes completely — an hour and a half to an hour and fifty — and a morning flight implies a departure in the small hours, booked the day before.

Groups are routine here, and so are two connecting rooms turning into seven or eight travellers at the door. The 8-seat van solves that in one vehicle, at the same per-kilometre rate as the saloon; what it will not do is swallow eight people and twelve cases, which is why we ask about luggage when you book rather than when we load.

Where your driver waits

The Newport Bay forecourt is at its worst on Sunday mornings, the main changeover day. When that happens the driver parks on the lower loop and rings you: fifty metres to walk, rather than twenty minutes stuck in the queue. Tell us at the time of booking if you are travelling with a pushchair or a wheelchair.

The other hotels we serve

The fare from Roissy-CDG is the same for every hotel on the resort: the distance to the airport varies by less than three kilometres from one establishment to the next.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most often

The forecourt is often blocked on Sunday morning — how do you manage?
That is the hotel's changeover day and the set-down queue can reach twenty minutes. Our drivers get round it by taking the lower loop and ringing you at the agreed time. You walk fifty metres and you leave on schedule.
What time should we leave for an 11am flight from Orly?
About 7.45am. The journey takes fifty minutes to an hour and ten depending on the A4 and the A86, and check-in for a European flight closes forty minutes before departure.
With more than a thousand rooms, will the driver actually find me?
Yes, because the meeting point is never your room but the main forecourt facing the lake. The driver rings on arrival and identifies himself by the registration, which we text you before departure.
Do you take groups of eight with luggage?
Yes, in the 8-seat van, provided you tell us how many large cases there are: eight passengers and eight suitcases fit, eight passengers and twelve suitcases need two vehicles. We would rather say so when you book than when we are loading.
Is the fare the same at night?
The base fare is identical, but the regulated night supplements set by the Seine-et-Marne prefectoral order apply, as they do to any taxi. They are quoted when you book, never discovered on arrival.
